Explore the art and sculpture of the Elephanta Caves where history remains from the Gupta period. You can visit the Flora Fountain, Chowpatty Beach & Juhu Beach, Hanging Gardens and The Prince of Wales Museum. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Aurangabad. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Stay for the night at Aurangabad.
After breakfast day for you to explore the famous Ajanta Caves which dates back to 2nd century BC. You will be amazed to see the interiors of the caves with oil paintings and scriptures symbolic to Mahayana sect of Buddhism. The caves are masterpieces of Buddhist art and have been given the status of World Heritage Site.
Drive back to the hotel and stay overnight at Aurangabad.
Breakfast and proceed with the same guide to explore the Ellora Caves. The 12 Buddhist caves at Ellora and each rock cut caves are symbol of the finest architecture of Buddhist times combined with Buddhist, Hindu and Jain art. The caves are the oldest forts of India till date. Explore the Dulatabad Forts built around 11th century AD and reveals some mystery of these surviving caves. You drive back to the hotel to pack your bags and drive to the railway station to board your train for Aurangabad. Overnight on board.
